Say Hello!

Happiness in  Hesston

Home

      This week at Chipmunk Ridge

I thought that I would take a break this time and share with you

what it is like two years after my move to the Alleghenies.

My thanks to Dave Mallet for the lyrics to this wonderful song.

(and yes, Kliph, I am indeed lovin' life right now)

I've taken these pictures  right here in the beautiful Alleghenies.

Enjoy.

The page might take awhile to download - please be patient.

There’s the  moon upon left. There’s a star upon the right

There’s a nightingale a’singing to the wondrous summer night

There are gentle deer a‘grazing  in the meadow with no fright .

And there’s no past and there’s no future, only now.

And we have chanced upon this fragile scene somehow

And I can hear the clover whisper oh so softly as we pass

As we find our way to some where down the old familiar path

And all the trees shyly watching as I slowly take your hand

And when our bodies come together there is a hush across the land.

And there’s a cottontail a’watching o’er his lady as she sleeps.

And I’m a lover of tradition; Here’s my heart. It’s yours to keep.

Won’t you take me as I’m giving and we’ll be lovers in our flight?

Cause there’s the moon upon the left.  There’s a star upon the right.

All the little people living near the clearing by the pond,

They are dancing in the moonlight; they’ll be dancing till the dawn

And moon looks down upon them like a fat and laughing man.

He’s the keeper of the magic. He’s the leader of the band.

Now somewhere there’s a cottage and somewhere there’s a door.

And somewhere there are ponies running wild across the moor

There are lilies of the valley nodding gaily in our wake

And our hearts are all on fire and the night is ours to take.

Cause, there’s the moon upon left. There’s a star upon the right.

There’s a nightingale a’singing to the wondrous summer night.

There are gentle deer a‘grazing  in the meadow with no fright,

And there’s no past and there’s no future, only now.

............................And we have chanced upon this fragile scene somehow.

Find joy in simple pleasures.

God bless,

Lynda
