      This week at Chipmunk Ridge

I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on my website, as you all know.  So I finally have a chance to do some updates for this page and my harp page.

As most of you know, I have been doing a lot with my harp lately... playing at a Christmas party in Hollidaysburg, an open house in Huntingdon and some other gigs.  It is a lot of fun.  My main goal will be to play in hospitals and nursing homes.  I get the most joy doing that.  It is fun to see the faces.  And if they want to try to play, they can do that too.

The open house was at Vintage Art Glass.  It is a wonder filled shop of amazing gifts.  Leah makes all sorts of stained glass treasures with the help of Betty.  The whole operation is under the watchful eye of Gypsy, the cat.  If you are ever in Huntingdon, you must stop by Leah's shop.  It is awesome.

Mom has had a big bout of the flu and I have have a bad cold...probably from hanging around mom!! We had a pretty big snow here last week.  Sue was in to visit and she got snowed in!!  That flashy Mustang of hers couldn't handle the snow.  So she set down some roots here in Hesston until the roads cleared.

My CRV had a close encounter with a deer before Christmas.  It is finally in the shop to get the repairs done.  Once it gets fixed, I have a brand new CRV waiting for me at Blair Honda in Altoona.  I can hardly wait to get it.  It has a lot more safety features than the one I have now.

We have a new addition to the family...... Mr. Tom!  He was a feral cat that we fed for years on the back porch.  He finally chose to come inside.  I tried to find him a nice home, but it seems that he felt that he already found a nice home!  I really have a cat house, now.

Judy and I decorated a Christmas tree again this year at the historical society.  The theme was Grandmother's Christmas.  We made it very old fashioned and then put a picture of each of our grandmother's at the top of the tree.

The Ya-Ya's are in full force, too.  We meet at least every month for girl's night out.  We had a Christmas tea at my house and made some decorations, Christmas movie at Judy's house, made really cool lamps at Sue's house.  I missed our Valentine's dinner. . I hear there was just a little bit of chocolate there!!
